Tree ring prints

The printing blocks I use to hand print the tree ring impressions are cut from already fallen trees then worked flat before exposing the ring formations with fire.

The tree blocks being natural forms distort, crack and split over time therefore prints are pulled in editions of 20 after which the block is reworked and re-scorched to create the next edition. 

However, the cut prints DCP (don't cut,protect) which is a collection of cut prints highlighting the need to protect our woodlands and trees, are not editions and are all made as single works.
